AlMizanSchool

Welcome to Al Mizan Primary School

It was in the summer of 2001 when a group of dedicated parents noticed a need for a school that combines between learning Islamic traditions and a high-quality programme of education in teaching national curriculum subjects. Shortly after, Al-Mizan was formed.

Al- Mizan is an Islamic independent primary school. In 2014 alone, 100% of students got a level 4 or higher for maths and writing in their SATs. Also, 98% achieved level 4 or higher in English along with 96% in reading.

We believe our success stems from the professionalism and commitment of all our staff; teaching and support. The school promotes the culture of unity and brotherhood which creates a sense of security amongst our students.

The positive relationships between the different year groups and the constructive rapport between students and staff are most definitely one of the many strengths our school prides itself with; and one that we believe is vital to creating a safe conducive environment for learning to take place.

The School has benefited greatly from being housed in one of the largest and most prestigious Islamic centres in Europe; The London Muslim Centre. The centre provides the students with a much-valued identity and they have come to appreciate the great part it plays in their lives. The School is fully equipped with up to date resources and apparatus necessary to teach all the subjects to a high standard. The purpose built classrooms are equipped with modern technology that includes interactive whiteboards.

We aim and strive to preserve our commitment to learning, achievement and in producing the sophisticated young men who will inevitably have a positive impact on the societies they’ll reside in.

Supporters/Affiliations

We at London East Academy and Al Mizan Junior School have forged partnerships and affiliation with local businesses, organisations and companies. They have been supporting our schools through various contributions such as sponsoring projects, providing food for events, providing work placements to prepare our students for adult life and other various initiatives.

Furthermore, our partners and affiliates act as a benefactors and supporters to our promotional events that occur outside and within the school premises. These events and projects enable the school to showcase the excellent work our students do and engages the community in better understanding the important roles and responsibilities our students have, to be active citizens in society. The income generated from our sponsors and partners is then re-invested in student projects, incentivised programmes to enrich learning, and improving resources and student experiences at our schools.

Our sponsors and partners are committed to providing support for our community at large and in particular, our school community where the schools are striving to provide the best educational services by heavily relying on tuition fees which is at the same time affordable by our parents. It was the vision of East London Mosque to provide outstanding educational facilities and was able to achieve that dream through public support and donations. The support we receive from our sponsors and partners is much appreciated and acknowledged by ourselves and the mosque. We are confident our affiliation with will grow stronger and above all enable us to fulfil our vision as Islamic schools.
